- Employees think that a day off work affects their professional life. 14% of the respondents think that employees are more likely to succeed and advance in their careers when they do not take all of their time off. 19% say that they would give up their vacation time for an entire year if it means securing a promotion.
With these considerations in mind, you would want to give it a second thought before writing or asking your manager for a day off work, especially if it’s due to your hangover after a few bottles with the boys last night.
